Sankalp Siddhi Satara Sangh, Dombivli — serving Satara families in the Kalyan–Dombivli area.

Introduction

Sankalp Siddhi Satara Sangha is proud of its website for Satarakar Mandali residing in the area of Kalyan–Dombivli Mahanagar Palika. The Sangha is born with the concept of Satara-district people living in this area coming together for mutual support.

The leading part in this work was initially taken during 1985 to 1987 by one of the Satarkars, Shri Shivram Gawade. With Shri Subhash Shelar and others under the guidance of Shri Shivram Gawade, a Sanghatana was formed in the name of SANKALP SIDDHI SATARA SANGH, DOMBIVLI.

Thereafter, meeting Satarakars door to door in Dombivli, members were enrolled. There was a good response — 50 members in two months. The first Karyakari Mandal of 15 members was formed. Shri Jayasingrao Desai served as Adhyakshya, Shri Shivram Gawade as Secretary, and Shri Ganpatrao Gawade as cashier. An application for registration was made to Sahayyak Sanstha Nibandhak, Thane, with office at Kadam Building, 4th Floor, D. Road, Vishnunagar, Dombivli (West). The Sanghatana is registered vide No. Maha-2491-Thane / F2236 Thane, 1988.

Goals & Policies

संस्थेची उद्देश व धोरणे — aims of the organization:

  • Satarkars residing in the KDMC area should come together and help each other in their personal problems.
  • Religious, cultural and educational improvement.
  • To solve the problem of residence.
  • To arrange blood donation, eye care, and ladies’ health care camps, etc.
  • To help educational institutions with infrastructure, etc.

Cultural activities, fundraising & tours

Encouraging students in cultural activities, etc.

Fundraising for needy people by raffle and lottery arrangements.

  • First picnic arranged by former Adhyakshya Pradhyapal Kakasaheb Phalke.
  • Mahila Aghadi arranged a trip to Lonavala and Ekveera Mata with the help of Shri Subhash (Upadhyakshya).
  • Educational trip to INPT arranged by former Adhyakshya Shri Shantaram Shinde under the guidance of Shri Sawant Sanjay.
  • Trips to Pandharpur, Akkalkot, and Tuljapur arranged by Adhyakshya Shri Sarjerao Yadav.
  • A trip to Shegaon, Mahur Gad, Karanje, Aundha Nagnath, and Ghrushneshwar arranged by the Karyakari Mandal in January 2016.
